Privacy policy.

What information PillWatch collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

Effective October 13, 2026

PillWatch is operated by Secure Medical, Inc. ("PillWatch," "we," "us"). This policy covers pillwatch.com, the PillWatch seal verification pages, our SMS program and the services we provide to subscribing brands. It does not cover other websites operated by Secure Medical, Inc., which have their own policies.

Information we collect

Contact form

When you use our contact form, we collect the name, company, email address, phone number, plan interest and message you enter. If you report a suspicious product, we also collect the details you give us about it. We use this to reply to you, follow up on reports and, if you asked about a plan, to discuss PillWatch services with you.

Applications and business documents

Brands applying for the seal give us business contact details and upload documents such as facility registrations, manufacturing and distribution licenses, GMP audit reports, supply-chain records, product labels and certificates of analysis. These documents can include names and contact details of people at the brand, its manufacturer and its suppliers. We use them to review the application, re-verify products, monitor seal use and keep records of our decisions.

Some information about verified products is public by design: the brand name, product name, seal ID, verification status, dates verified and last checked, whether the brand is Affiliated, and any lab certificates the brand chooses to publish. Other uploaded documents are not shown publicly.

SMS sign-up

If you text WATCH to 25283, we collect your mobile number and the date you joined so we can send you PillWatch updates. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Text STOP to 25283 to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of any purchase. We do not sell or share mobile numbers or SMS opt-in consent with third parties for their own marketing.

Payments

Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. Card details go directly to Stripe and are handled under Stripe's privacy policy. PillWatch does not receive or store full card numbers. We receive information such as your name, email, billing address, plan, payment status and the last four digits and brand of your card so we can manage your subscription.

Server logs

Like most websites, our servers automatically record technical information when you visit, including IP address, browser type, pages requested, referring page, and the date and time of the request. This includes searches entered in the seal lookup. We use logs to keep the site running, investigate errors and abuse, and understand overall usage.

Cookies

We use only essential cookies:

  • a session cookie that protects our forms against forged submissions, and
  • an admin session cookie that keeps authorized PillWatch staff signed in to our admin area.

We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Because these cookies are needed for the site to work, they are not covered by a cookie consent choice. You can block cookies in your browser, but forms may not work.

How we use information

  • To provide seal verification, monitoring and the public verify pages.
  • To respond to messages, reports and support requests.
  • To manage subscriptions, billing and account notices.
  • To send SMS updates you signed up for.
  • To protect the site, our users and the integrity of the seal, including investigating misuse.
  • To meet legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service and Seal License.

How we share information

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only:

  • with service providers that help us run PillWatch, such as hosting, email, SMS delivery and payment processing (Stripe), who may use it only to provide those services to us;
  • with an accredited testing laboratory, for Ultimate plan lab testing, limited to what the lab needs to perform the test;
  • with other teams at Secure Medical, Inc. that help operate PillWatch, under this policy;
  • when required by law, or to protect the rights, safety or property of PillWatch, our users or the public; and
  • as part of a merger, sale or transfer of the business, subject to this policy.

When you report a suspicious product, we may share the product details with the affected brand or with authorities. We do not share your name or contact details with the brand without your permission unless the law requires it.

How long we keep information

  • Contact form messages: for as long as needed to respond and follow up, and generally no longer than two years after our last contact.
  • Application and verification documents: for the life of the membership and for a period afterward so we can show the basis for our decisions and meet legal and tax obligations.
  • SMS numbers: until you opt out, plus a record of the opt-out so we don't text you again.
  • Billing records: as long as required for accounting and tax purposes.
  • Server logs: for a limited period, unless needed to investigate a security issue or abuse.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and restricted access to uploaded documents and admin tools. No system is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee that information will never be accessed without authorization. If we learn of a breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by law.

Children

PillWatch is intended for adults and businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and our SMS program is not intended for anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Your rights and choices

You can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information we have about you and give you a copy,
  • correct information that is inaccurate,
  • delete your information, subject to records we must keep, and
  • stop sending you texts or emails (texts: reply STOP; emails: use the unsubscribe link or contact us).

California and other state privacy laws

Residents of California and other states with consumer privacy laws may have additional rights, such as the right to know the categories of personal information we collect and why, to access, correct or delete it, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information or its use for targeted advertising. As stated above, we do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

To make a request, email Marketing@securemedical.com with "Privacy request" in the subject line. We will verify your request by matching information you give us with information we hold. You may use an authorized agent, who must show proof of your permission. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision, and we will respond within the time required by applicable law.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. When we do, we will change the effective date above, and if the changes are significant we will give notice on the site or by email to subscribing brands.
