Who we are
PillWatch is operated by Secure Medical, Inc., based in Tempe, Arizona. Secure Medical has worked in the online pharmacy and telehealth industry for more than 26 years. It also operates eDrugstore.com and supplement brands including PeakBody and HealthyMale.
That background is why we built PillWatch. We know what a legitimate supply chain looks like on paper, and we know how quickly copies of real products show up online.
Why PillWatch exists
Dietary supplements are not approved by FDA before they are sold. Under federal law, the companies that make and sell them are responsible for making sure they are safe and properly labeled, and FDA generally steps in after a product is already on the market.
Online marketplaces make it easy for anyone to list a product. Counterfeits, relabeled goods and lookalike listings can sit next to the real thing, and a shopper looking at a product photo has no way to tell them apart.
PillWatch gives brands a way to show their sourcing and gives shoppers a way to check it. A brand sends us documents showing its product is made by a licensed manufacturer and moves through licensed distributors. If it passes, the product gets a seal ID and a public verify page. We then watch major marketplaces each month for listings that misuse the brand's name or our seal.

Where we are independent
- Every product is reviewed against the same written standard, and a product that doesn't pass doesn't get a seal, whatever plan the brand is on.
- A brand's fee pays for the review. Whether a product passes depends only on its documents.
- Verify pages show the product's real status, including when a seal is inactive.
Where we are not
We want to be plain about this. Secure Medical, the company that runs PillWatch, also owns supplement brands. That is a conflict of interest, and we handle it in two ways:
- Disclosure. Any product from a Secure Medical-owned brand is labeled Affiliated on its verify page.
- Same process. Affiliated brands go through the same document review, monthly monitoring and re-verification as every other brand.
PillWatch is also paid by the brands it verifies. That is how the service is funded. It is also why we publish our standard, show inactive seals publicly and keep the seal limited to a claim we can check: where the product comes from.
What we don't do
PillWatch is not a government agency, and the seal is not FDA approval. We don't evaluate whether a supplement works, and we don't make health claims about any product. If you have questions about whether a supplement is right for you, ask a doctor or pharmacist.
